We are 3 weeks into 2nd year Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry!
We have 3 great roommates living with us who are doing 1st year. Frida from Sweden, Antje from Germany, & Liliana from Poland. We certainly found great roommates. They are going passionantly for God & are also great housemates. Responsible, considerate, & great to be around!
Next week we have a 2 day retreat with our Revival Groups. This is a time where we all get to spend time together with the whole group becoming family! We will be at a YWAM camp in Chico (an hour south of Redding) from Tuesday to Thursday. Our 2nd year Revival Group (Theresa's group, about 80 of us), will be there with 3 groups from 1st year to love on. We are looking forward to this time with our Bethel family. :-)
October is just a few days away! Both Todd & I will be on ministry trips in October, so please mark your calendar to pray for us!!!
Chloe will be in San Francisco October 8-10 on a ministry trip with Theresa. We will be ministering with a small team for 2 days at a Prophetic Arts Conference then at a church on Sunday. At the conference, each of us will be teaching a workshop (that includes me! yikes! It'll be fun, but certainly would love some prayers!) My workshop will be about healing power of God released through arts.
(We have lots of stories here at Bethel about people getting healed from looking at or being given art that was painted with the intention/ prayer that whoever sees it would be healed or set free. In fact, there was an art piece here that a lady painted that said "HOPE" and had billowy clouds around it... as people came on Saturday morning for healing prayers, a woman with a brain tumor was looking at the painting & suddenly the tumor began to drain out of her ear! She was totally healed! God certainly does unusual miracles! ha ha! So that is part of what we will be doing, showing the people how their art can be painted in partnership with the Holy Spirit to release freedom to the captives & healing to the diseased!)
Well, here's another great story for you! Now that we are in 2nd year, we are expected to always come prepared to be the ministry team at every service & every event. So after the morning service today (Sunday, September 26), 30 of us lined up along to front to pray for all who need prayer.
Todd saw one of the most dramatic miracles he has seen. A lady had arthritis & was in quite a hurry to get prayer & go home. Todd prayed for this lady & she was feeling God's presence strongly. He asked her if the pain was all gone. She said she felt good but that really her knee was the biggest trouble to her. She said it was bone on bone with no cartilage. He started laughing because He knew she was about to get some NEW cartilage in that knee! (Since he saw that lady at the grocery store get new cartilage in her knee a few months ago!) After he thanked God for what he was about to do, he commanded the new cartilage to be formed. There was a loud POP! It startled Todd & the lady both. They both jumped back from each other & started laughing so hard. The lady was very surprised & said she was an intercessor for the healing rooms but had never herself experience such a dramatic healing. Todd was so full of joy he could hardly stand up straight. He said "I think you got your cartilage!" oh man! That is just fun stuff to be a part of seeing God heal people. He just loves to do it! He is so so so good! all the time!
Oh, and one more thing. As part of the City Wide Transformation we are praying for here in Redding, Bethel Outreach has divided the city into 20 zones/ regions. Redding use to be known as Poverty Flats 20 years ago. There are still a lot of impoverished areas & drug dealer infested areas. Last year they began what they called "Evangelistic Home Churches" They began planting home churches in the worst neighborhoods of redding to bring community, hope, healing, destiny, life, dreams, support, love etc into those areas. They have been having so many great stories of how the communities are responding & opening up! This year they are really planning to cover the city with these home churches that will meeting on a week night. Please pray for us, we have applied to possibly host & lead a home church. Prayer for us to know if this is the right timing to begin this sort of responsibility.
We know it is something in our hearts to do & it will also pull out the leadership & discipleship in us... but just want to make sure we are not taking on too much at this time. We just want to make sure we don't get busy with activity & loose time to just spend with God. We are really making this our year to let God fully heal our hearts from any remaining sadness, disappointment or stress from our last 3 years of intense extended hospital stays & of course our missing our son Haven. Our decision to stay here for 2nd year was partly to just be in a place like this where the presence of God & His love is so easy felt & encountered... and to give us this year to let him fill every sad place with His love, hope & joy.
God has been so good to us. We are so so thankful to be here and among so many amazing leaders who have been here for us, who love us & who believe in us. So many people have been such great community & family to us here.
We would love to hear from you! Please let us know how you are doing.
With Our Love & God's Blessings,
Chloe & Todd
